Since Hurricane Mitch, Bomberos en Accion (Fireman in Action), based in the town of Cartagena in Spain, have maintained a relationship with Nicaragua. The total shipment consisted of 7 boats, 8 outboard motors as well as clothing and other equipment. The other boats and motors went to Puerto Cabezas, Granada and Managua.

Also at the presentation was Héctor Sevilla - the Director General of the Nicaraguan Fire Department, Miguel Guzmán - Commandante of the San Juan Del Sur Volunteer Fire Department, Ing. Eduardo Holmann - Mayor of San Juan Del Sur and John Berger who acts as a liaison between the fire department and volunteer groups and donors. BACK
