continued from san juan del sur HOME A Canadian has been accused of a break in at Hotel Villa Paradise in Santo Domingo on Ometepe Island and may have left something behind at the crime scene! The 52 year old was allegedly seen on the premises by a security guard after he had broken into a hotel in the early hours of the morning. After being disturbed by the night security guard, the intruder tried to escape. The guard fired a couple of rounds in the air to warn the intruder, the security guard shot at the defendant with his 38 calibre pistol and hit him “below the belt” so to speak. As a result, and according to the police report, “he lost part of his member”. It is alleged that he was in the premises trying to take the CPU from a desktop computer. The security guard, Ortiz Ramos, observed that the man was wearing dark clothes and gloves and challenged him. After throwing a soda bottle at the guard, the intruder fled the building and that’s when the shooting incident occurred. The defendant was treated at the Rivas Hospital for a “partially amputated penis”. |
