continued from san juan del sur HOME Here’s what we can tell you: Llansa-Nap, the contractor partnership has already set up one of the staging centres at the site of the old concrete facility on the edge of town (that was used by Wakachiku Corp. to construct the fish terminal). There will be two construction crews starting work at each end of the road, one pair here and the other pair at the Pan American Highway at La Virgen. One crew at each end will be working on ditches, drainage and erosion issues on the sides of the road. The other crew will be working on the rebuilding of the actual road base and surface. We asked the Mayor of SJdS, Eduardo Holmann, if he knew when we would see equipment moving in and an actual start made on the road. He responded “The final approval for starting (the road), was delayed due to some technicalities that are about to be solved”. He added “They promised me that this week (ending 7th December) they should start with the machines. At the moment, they are completing the surveying work”.
