Spain is providing the money and ENACAL (the Nicaragua Water Company) are involved in the Spanish partnership that will design and build the facility to pump and treat the water, as well as build the 20 kilometer or so pipeline required to deliver the water to SJdS.

There have been a few hiccups in this plan since it was conceived however, the Mayor of San Juan del Sur, Ing. Eduardo Holmann believes that it all could be signed, confirmed and included in next years budget with a potential start date of the second quarter of 2008.
