continued from san juan del sur HOME The operators were expected to agree with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI) on a proposed schedule that would have had the 6 boats providing a half hourly service between San Jorge and Moyogalpa. At the last minute, the operators decided reject the proposal. As a result, there will be no schedule changes for four months. Ferry operators complained that demand was low at the moment and changes in the service would cause further losses for them. About 900 people a day use the ferry service between Ometepe and San Jorge.
