Sports Park Update,

A big thanks to everyone who came out to support us at the inauguration of the Sports Park on Friday 28th September. A special thanks to Delta Airlines and Fundacion A. Jean Brugger for sponsoring the event. Thanks to them, we had covered seating for our invited guests to enjoy the action the local soccer teams provided throughout the night. The following Monday night saw the continuation of the arena soccer league. In fact, we'll have league games at the Sports Park every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights from 5:30 - 10:00pm. You are all invited to come join the rest of San Juan watch the local talent and to see the progress we've made at the new facility.

Thanks to the support of our sponsors who have made donations through our advertisement program, we have continued to keep full time staff and security at the park. ReMax Horizons, Seahorse Tropic, El Timon, Century 21, Finca Las Nubes, COMUDEP, and Aurora Beachfront Realty have all contributed through the advertisement program which rewards their donation with a beautiful advertisement and automatic sponsorship of a local team. These ads are offering a new life to the walls surrounding the playing court, it's truly a win-win opportunity.

I'd also like to thank those who have contributed financially or through in-kind services, such as Fundacion A. Jean Brugger and Pelican Eyes...Piedras y Olas Hotel & Resort, Finca Las Nubes, St. Hilaire Family Foundation, Morgan's Rock, Nica Dev, Eric Gabriel, Chip Howell, Jeff Gordon, Austin Drill, Eduardo Holmann and his team at the Alcaldia, the local Police Force, Austin McMurry, and Mel Spangler.

We've invested over $50,000 in the Sports Park so far. The speakers have been purchased, the bathrooms have been built, the office is in, and the planters are filling up with flowers. Delta Airlines has promised to place a new welcome sign at the
front entrance!

After the inauguration, I sent a wish list out via E Mail for donations to complete some of the enhancements to the facility.

In less than 12 hours, I was able to check off every item on the wish list. The generator has been donated and the money has been pledged to cover costs associated with installing the new basketball backboards and the new scoreboard. Outstanding!

Your support of the Sports Park has been and continues to be incredible; I could not have done this without you. For those of you who would still like to contribute towards the Sports Park, there remains the uniform fund that constantly needs financial support. There is also the Advertisement campaign that not only supports your business, but also provides much needed funding for the administrative obligations at the Sports Park.
