continued from san juan del sur HOME Mayor's office give clean beaches top priority It’s been a while since the river at the north end of the beach has broken; however, two heavy downpours within 24 hours that produced a total of 10 inches of rain soon changed that. As a result, everything that had been accumulating along and in the river was washed onto the beach. Hats off to the Alcaldia who wasted no time in assembling a crew to clean up the debris. The cleanliness of the beach is a top priority for the current administration. (The townsfolk were also impressed at the quick clean up after Easter Week.) When I spoke with Marvin Bismarck Espinosa, Supervisor, Alcaldia, they had been cleaning up for 5 days. “We have one more day to go on the south side of the river and then the north side should take another week”
